Spalding United continued their fine form with an impressive win at 3rd place Bedford town.
On a cold afternoon, the Tulips played some superb football on Bedfords new 3G pitch.
The opening 20 minutes was fairly even before Spalding began to push forward and create some openings. Kieron Freeman broke the deadlock with a curling effort from the edge of the box after some good play from the dangerous Joe Nyahwema.
Nyahwema then doubled the lead before half time after his shot was too powerful for the home teams goalkeeper.
The Tulips did not let up after the break, Sani poked home after the goalkeeper made a mess of a corner and Semble-Ferris made it 4 after another quick attack.
Bedford pulled a goal back before James Clifton, on as a late substitute, swept home Spalding's fifth to carry on their surge up the table.
A very successful day for the Tulips, recording their biggest win of the season and top performances all over the pitch. Joseph just edged MOTM for me after being a real threat all game and Bedford couldn't live with him.
Spalding are now just 5 points of the playoffs and on this form are surely a shoo in for a top 5 finish.
