Under the lights at Kettering

We made the relatively short trip over to Kettering Town FC on a very pleasant and warm Tuesday evening. Here are a few ramblings on our visit!

On arrival to the car park, we were greeted by a donation bucket as gather they're raising money for car park improvements - stuck a quid in any way to show willing!

Kick off was delayed 10 minutes, which could have been down to the number of fans trying to get in! We arrived about 15 mins prior to the scheduled kick off, and there was a bit of a bottleneck - but guess there may have been another reason for the delay. Just outside the entrance to the ground before the turnstiles, there are a few benches undercover with food / drinks / beers available. Looked like quite a nice area to enjoy a beer before the game (not that we did sadly).

So...into the ground we went - nice little facility, well established with decent seating and undercover areas. Normal food offerings of burgers etc. which smelt good (not that we tried any food) plus beers and soft drinks on sale and a coffee / soft drinks stand in the corner of the ground.

Good atmosphere and banter in the ground with a crowd attendance just shy of 900. Decent number of away fans for us made the trip for the Tulips.

I won't mention the football or the result... I'll leave that to others!
