The Tulips collected 6 points at home in 4 days after a pulsating match against Lowestoft.
The opening 25 minutes was fairly even before the visitors took advantage of an uncharacteristic error from Staino at the back. Breeden pulled off a fabulous save to initially deny the striker but could do nothing about the rebound. Lowestoft doubled their lead 3 minutes later after Cartwright was done for pace down the left channel and the ball squirmed in at the far post. The Tulips reacted well and pulled a goal back before half time.
New signing Bart finishing expertly from a fine cross from Sherif.
The Tulips came flying out of the blocks at the start of the second half, no doubt after being given a rollicking from Jimmy Dean. They created chance after chance but were unable to convert the equaliser until the 82nd minute from a corner. Staino looped a header against the crossbar before Cartwright hit the post with the follow up. However debutant, Bart was on hand to finally fire the Tulips deservedly level. A few minutes later, substitute, Connor Tomlinson broke free and was brought down just outside the area by the Lowestoft captain, resulting in a 2nd yellow and an early bath. Fellow sub, Chettle stepped up and whipped the free kick into the top corner to send the "shed end" delirious. Sherif was sent off late on after collecting a 2nd yellow card and several other players booked late on after the ref lost control. The Tulips held on for a fine comeback win and hopefully can begin to climb the league after another positive performance. Up the Tulips!
