As the Tulip supporters who traveled to Bishop’s Stortford left the ground at full time on Tuesday night, the only conversation heading back up the M11 was how did we not get anything out of that game. Jimmy welcomed Darnell Johnson back into the starting 11, played Clifton at full back and sent the versatile Walker to wide left. The Tulips skipper had the first of many chances go astray, Lawlor connected sweetly from 20yards but missed the target and Bart shot over when well placed. Some awful defending on 38 min see the home side in front, both Lawlor and Clifton failed to deal with a flicked on header and Rashawn poked home from 6 yards. Chapman kept us in the contest with a smart save on 49min, Sano-Sani had the ball in the net only to be ruled offside and within a minute Cybulski had the best chance of the game, Walker supplied the pass and the big forward looked set to score but lifted the chance over the bar, us Tulip fans knew then it wasn't meant to be. Johnson had a header kicked of the line before another Bart header came back of the post, Liam Moore was convinced he'd poked the rebound over the line but referee Stratton waved the appeals away ... Another mix up in the Tulips defence sealed the win for Stortford on 80 minutes this time Chalwell raced away and easily beat Chapman, thats 3 defeats in a row on our travels now and that play off place is starting to look in the distance ..........
