Tulips fight back to earn first league win

Jimmy Dean described the first 20 minutes on Saturday as shambolic and it was hard to disagree with. Billy Shaw got the home side in front on 9 minutes and it got worse when Kobe Hall walked through our back line before easily beating Chapman on 23 minutes. In between the goals Jack Roberts had hit the Bromsgrove cross bar, Sani Sano and Ceesay both had chances and a series of corners brought no joy.....a goal before half time would give us a fighting chance and when Josh McCammon burst down the middle in first half injury time his finish was special.

No doubt harsh words from the gaffer in the interval as we came out and pretty much started to dominate the second period, but chances again came and went. Jimmy made a triple change-Bart, Bendle and Curtis Thompson coming on. Two more great chances wasn't taken this time Jack clean through blazed over and Alfie Bendle shooting wide when well placed . Fair play to our boys they kept coming and it was the big man Bart Cybulski who levelled it up with 15 min to go. Take a point - not in this game, we are now looking for all 3 as us Tulips poured all over the red and white shirts, but football can turn very quickly and when CJ ( Connor Johnson ) was left exposed down the middle the tackle on his opponent was seen as a second yellow by referee Hall and out came the red. Play now swung down the other end and our new makeshift back four which now included Thompson needed to keep Bromsgrove out. Still time for a winner? You better believe it! Ceesay got himself the wrong side of McCone and when the home skipper pulled back the Tulips Winger, out came red card number 2. Step forward Jack Roberts.....the new fans favourite drilled home the resulting free kick in added on time to the sheer delight of the travelling Tulips support.
