'To be or not to be; That is the question'

Shakespeare country was the destination for us Tulips on Saturday against 5th in the table Stratford Town. Jimmy added 3 more players leading up to the match to his ever growing squad all made the starting 11. A good start by us had the Bards on the back foot but that little bit of quality was again missing in the final third. Dan Lawlor with a superb block inside the 18 yard box and Breeden at full stretch made sure the first half ended goal less. Big Tony tipped another effort over the bar before Sembie-Ferris found himself unmarked inside the box, but the new signing tamely lifted the effort over the bar. Jimmy turned to Joseph Nyahwema from the bench and the winger's introduction paid off, coming inside from the left, his shot deflected off a home defender into the net on 74 minutes.. A frenzy last 10 minutes from the Bards forced a series of corners but with little conviction. The Tulips back line held firm with another new face Liam Moore looking very composed in his first start and Glenn Walker who was the stand out player on the day. The only goal of the game was good enough to earn us all 3 points, a second victory on the road this season which moved us away from the bottom four….

Don’t forget our Fans Forum evening is on Friday 22nd November, 7:30pm start. Tulips Manager, Jimmy Dean and other members of SUFC will be ready to answer all your Tulip related questions! We look forward to seeing you all there 🌷
